  • Developer (see other sidebar)
  • Glacial Acetic Acid (optional, for Stop Bath)
  • Fixer (Kodak Rapid Fixer with Hardener is highly recommended)
  • Hypo Eliminator

3) Go in the darkroom and remove the film from the cassette, unwind the film an remove the end of the film from the spool. Next load the film into a plastic or metal film reel then place the loaded reel in the film tank ad cover it as directed. Then its time to process the film so you lay the chemicals out in front of you. You need to make sure that the temperature of the chemicals are good, or controlled. This because if you get it to high or to high it will mess up the picture then pour our developer into the open part of the sealed film tank, known as the pour spout, and cover it. KEEP THE LID CLOSED! Next turn the container upside down and hit the side to get any air that's not wanted out of there. Pour running water into the pour spout for one minute to stop development. The its time to fix the image so make sure you pu the hardness on it so the picture wont get scratched.Remove the tank cover completely and let the film sit in cold running water for five minutes. Next remove all aces of fixer to avoid white stains on a picture. Pour in a tankful of Hypo Eliminator and agitate for two minutes.Wash for 5 minutes! Remove film from the tank and DON'T TOUCH IT. In 1 or 2 hours the film will be dry and you will cut the film into 6 negative films( be sure to cut space between them). For the end you store the negatives in clear glassine envelopes.

American Slidshow And Captions!

http://photos.denverpost.com/photoprojects/specialprojects/ianfisher/photochapter2.html
2A-This photo is the most powerful because it shows a lot of emotion to where you  can tell what  the officer is doing and that the guy is scared of  or shocked just by his facial expression. its a very strong picture.

2B-Chapter three the basic training sequence because it has the most emotion along with action. There is a lot happening in the photo's which makes them more interesting to look at or take interest in.

2C-The pictures worked to tell a story by being in order from the time he was getting ready for the army and signing up and things to him in the army in training then him coming home to see his family. In the pictures they caught a lot of things with emotion which helped tell the story.

3A- The photos are past tense.

3B- The captions enhance the photos  by telling more then what you can tell is going on in the picture just by looking at them. it gives more information on the picture.

4A-Ashley Ian girlfriend decided to give him a kiss on the lips because he said i love you to her on a fares wheel at the carnival.

5A-These features enhance the photos by letting Ian actually talk and tel you how he felt in that situation and he tells so much information and what it was like signing up for him or practice or just how it is there and how its different. It gives a lot of his opinions on things..

5B- The videos are better then the photographs because its a moving thing that has him in it and has him tell his opinion on things up front not just in a photograph. There is more emotion in the videos because you can see them crying and their tone in their voices.

5C- Photos are better then video in some ways because sometimes still images shoe more emotion.

Marlboro Marine.

1)
A. What skills besides photography did Luis Sinco utilize to produce this slideshow?

The skills that he used besides photography is the music that went along with the dramatic pictures, the music was a little depressing. Also when the man was on the motorcycle or smoking a cigarette he had sound effect that matched it. The text was from the persons point of view which i really like because he was actually there to tell the facts that he knew. Also at the end when he was explain how the man was was a good ending. The overall presentation was good!

B. What was the effect (added power or meaning) of the multimedia effects of the slideshow?
The effect of this PowerPoint was to show you how Iraq or any war could effect a person. The pictures form the war added a lot of power to this slide show because it showed how bad the conditions could be toward anything it added a lot of effect and emotion.

2)
A. What is the most powerful image from the slideshow? Why?
The most  powerful picture or pictures to me were the ones from the actual war because they were really pictures and it might help you understand why he was so depressed and hurt when he came back from the war. The pictures added effect and emotion!

B. What sequence of photographs is the most powerful? Why?
The sequence of photos that was most powerful was the war photo because they could make you feel like they guy felt during that time. Like i said before the [pictures add a lot of effect and emotion.

C. How does the audio enhance the photographs?
The audio enhances the photos because when you see the pictures and then you have audio that makes sounds of what the actual thing would sound like makes it more interesting. It made it more interesting to watch.

D. How do the images work together to tell a story?
The images work together to make a story when the guy talked about him in the war and why he felt so bad it showed  pictures from the war and when he took a break and told how he felt after words and how he wanted people to talk to him and things it showed him on his bike or smoking cigarette or images of just him living his life.

Contest Preview Show And Tell.

Winter 2008
The university of Texas at Arlington.
To me what makes this photograph powerful is the fact that the main part in this photo is her shoes but her reflection is in the water and i think that is why this picture is so strong. it rea;;y different from ost pictures and i like it. The lighting in this picture is bright but the girls body is is making a shadow which makes it dim over her shoes. the exposure in this photo would have to be her shoes.

Great Black And White Photography Part 3.

The first thing that caught my eye in this photo was how close her face was to the camera, and how pretty her eyes look. To me she looks like she has natural beauty but just a little eye makeup, and her eye lashes are so long and really pretty. This is a really natural picture and i like it a lot and this is why it caught my attention.
-I see something not to clear and I'm not to sure what it is but it is frightening me a little bit. It kind of looks like a shadow and I'm very curious to find out what it is. Its a very dark big shadow.
-I smell something very different something i haven't smelt before. Its very different like it seems like its there but the scent is so little i cant tell. This smell is very new to me.
-I hear absolutely nothing it is just quite. There is no one in here with me, just me all alone. Even though it feels like there is something here with me.
-I taste the cold air going into my mouth. My mouth is beginning to become dry and I'm very thirst. i dont understand why this air is giving me dry mouth.
-I feel a little alone and frightened and I'm trying to concentrate on the shadow I'm seeing. This is all a shock to me Ive never seen something like this before. I swear i fell someone touching me but now ones there.

The thing that caught my eye in this photo was that the girl is focused on feeding the bird and i think that her not looking at the camera and paying attention to something else makes the photo really pretty. She seems very focused. I love it.
-I see the women that i am photographing is very concentrated and focused on what she is doing. She is holding the cup very proper and it makes her look very mannerly. I see that the girl is really into this bird she is putting a lot of mind into it.
-I smell the strong smell of bird seed we have around here to keep the birds here. The sweet smell of the tasty drink that she is letting the bird drink. And my favorite of all time is the strong sweet but yet tangy scent of her perfume.
-I hear the birds beak going into the water as i snap the picture. Also i hear the bird bath water going in the background. I hear the women keep trying to grasp the glass in a different way.
-I taste the smell if the bird food. The fresh air that smells like flowers. Also the taste of my winter fresh gum in my mouth.
-i feel the cold breeze hitting my bare arms. The curtain on my camere brushing my air very slightly.
And water drips hit my arm as they fall from the ceiling.

I would like to do a blog on my photographer.(:

Later the little girl is took to a shelter where she is feed and taken care of.

Action And Emotion.
The action and emotion in this photo i would have to say is action would have to be all the band players playing there instruments and dance, plus the lead singer singing. The emotion i would have to say is the excitement of the performs and if their song is sad or depressing. To me this photo is full of action and emotion.

Filling The Frame.
The frame in this photo is filled with a bunch of art work and art supplies. This picture is very colorful and has a bunch of things in it which fills it out. This picture is very pretty.
