Action Shoot Final!

Panning Photo:
Damon Griffin a senior at akins high school had kicked a green soccer ball on a Saturday morning because he was striving to make his 5th goal in a row to win the championship. That day Damon had practiced and practiced his amazing kick off.

 The Freshman Marissa and the senior Damon were caught playing a lovely game of leap frog in the courtyard at akins high school after lunch. After their game Marissa ended up going to the nurse because Damon accidentally landed on her head.

 Marissa the freshman at akins high school was waving at one of her friends that was coming from lunch going to her 6th period class. She later found out that her friend was in her class.

The family wanted the house of their dreams, inspired by a snail shell.

I think that its a very fascinating building, you most certainly don't see homes like this. Its very creative. It inspires me to get a house like this one day.

Because i wanted to see a building that was in the us a building that maybe i could visit one day. Also i liked the fact that you could rent it out maybe i could get a house like this one day. It was beautiful.

i picked this building because i thought it was really pretty and i liked how big it was. I also like the fact that i can visit it ad that it is a museum. Also i love spain.!

My lead:
Kids 6 to 10 years old in the cold war of 1953 were the most famous orphans. At such a young age their parents were executed because they were caught giving atomic bombs to the soviet union secretly. They ended up being tooken away under limelight that they didn't want and now they are in suburban obscurity.

Why- because everyone loved it and it is worth a lot of money now.
How- because it was old so now it is worth more and to make up for it they are making a new one.

An old copy of the very famous superman action comic book number one was finally found after 2 years of being hidden is going to make its comeback. an expert had told someone that it would be worth 400,000 dollars now and they are planing on making a newer version.

Practice captions:

1. Courtney  is at a football game on a Friday night at akins high school she is smiling big because she saw her best friend and the guy her friend liked kiss and she was happy for them. Later on in life her best friend and the guy she liked ended up getting married.

2. Brandon Wasson i trying his best to shoot the winning point at an akins basketball game on a Friday night because  the game was tied. He had made the winning point of the game and akins took another victory.
The rules of this photo are symmetry because if you cut it in half it would be almost the same on each side. Also it has leading lines its his arms leading to the basketball. Also it has rules of thirds.

3.  A very talented student named Gabe Maldonado is doing a fantastic art peace in his art class on a early Saturday morning for the annual art festival. Gabe had gotten second place for his art peace along with a silver medal.
The rules for this photo is rule of thirds because he is off to the side of the picture, also this is good viewpoint as well because  it is down at his level, also it has mergers. it also has leading lines it is his arm..

4. In ms. Hearts science class she is talking about her new owl that she had got from the pet co and Sunday because she wanted the class to do a project on owls for their 6th weeks test grade. Sadly the owl had died two weeks later.

1. My reaction to this power point was i really liked these  pictures i think they were really pretty and the focus was so good i kind of felt like i was in the picture. I also love how all the pictures were in black and white because to me that enhanced the focus of it all.

2. My favorite picture was the one of the ox where his face and horns wee in major focus and the rest behind him was blurry.

3. He uses the Pentax with only two fixed lenses.
3b. He fell in love with the animals after the song Mitchael Jackson wrote. He said he didn't know another way to show he loved them so he photographed them.

The teacher Mrs Ross and many teachers.

It effected many teachers including Mrs Ross.
Who said so?
- The Austin independent school district.


What?- Many teachers are getting laid off.
What is happening?-
Many teachers are loosing their jobs.
What did happen?-
A teacher lost her job.
What are the consequences?-
They have to find a new job. Short on money.
What is different about this?-
Alot of teachers wont have jobs.
What are the choices?-
To find a new job as soon as possible. 

When?- In between 2010 and 2011.

When the couldn't afford the teachers.

Why?- Because they cant afford to pay the teachers.

Low on money cant pay teachers.

- They realized they weren't making enough to pay teachers.

It cost teachers alot, they didn't have money after they got laid off.

it effected them by having to find new jobs and not having a pay check.

I think it really sucks and it makes it way harder to find a job.

1. How do you think having school uniforms could help our school?
I think that if we had school uniforms it would reduce name calling and violence!

2. Why or why not?
Because if everyone is wearing their own type of clothing it may offend  other students in school.

3. Do you think it would be a problem for some students to purchase the uniforms?
yes because they might not know where to get it.

4. Do you think that the school should provide the uniforms if they are making us wear them?
Yes because its their idea in the first place and since  they are making us wear them they should have enough money to provide them for us.

5. Are uniforms a big deal to you?
yes and no because uniforms don't make you choose what you want to wear and when you have uniforms yo cant express yourself.

6. Do you think it would be better with dress code?
No because students would disagree.

Because many students will disagree.

Sports and action and more details!

Name of photographer - Alyssa Schukar.

General focus of portfolio-
I think it was made to show what an eating disorder can do to you.

List three problems that the judges note with the portfolio -
1. you couldn't feel the  love or the pain in the pictures. 2. also they weren't up close and personal like they wanted it. 3. it was more like a dark take.

List two things the judges like-
1. the judges liked the hati picture because it was the man and he has a nice background behind him. 2. The other judge liked the girl jumping over the hurtles because the way her legs landed.

What is your overall impression? What did you like or not like?
My first impression was i didn't like the first picture because it mad the girls story all mixed up, but some of the pictures were good and others weren't good at all.

Dustin Snipes:
What did the judges note as strengths as they were critiquing it? His contrast and the angles he was taking his pictures from. They also liked that in one his pictures everyone was doing something. His contact sheet.

yes i did see his strengths he is a very good photographer. and yes  saw weaknesses i didn't like when he photo shopped his photo's to much.

They went through all the photos that the kids took and criticized then like saying what they had to much of or to little of or what they could have done to make it better. That's how they decided the winner.

I agree with the judges about the wave photo there could have been way more action in it that could have made it better. Like his had hitting the wave like they said.

 i did like the boxer photo i didnt think anythin was wrong with it theyy did.
